I am a sixth-generation Brazilian dentist and my family has worked in dentistry for over 170 years, as verified by Guinness World Records. Not only did I qualify as a dentist from the most highly-recognized dental school in South America, the University of São Paulo Dental School in 2002, I hold a double degree, having also graduated from the same institution as a dental laboratory technician in 1995.

My career path has taken me around the world and earned me multiple accolades, such as being a member of the Brazilian, European and American Academies of Esthetic Dentistry, becoming the only dentist to have been invited as a member to all three prestigious organisations.

Combining my advanced skills, experience and technology solutions, I pioneered the Digital Smile Design methodology and founded Digital Smile Design company (DSD). Since its inception, thousands of dentists worldwide have attended DSD courses and workshops, such as the renowned DSD Residency program.

I am the Founder of Digital Smile Design company and creator of the Digital Smile Design methodology.

I lecture at dental conferences around the world every year and I am published in academic journals in the fields of esthetic and digital dentistry, facially-driven design, dental photography, oral rehabilitation, dental ceramics, implants, and communication strategies and marketing in dentistry.

Dr. Andrea Mastrorosa Agnini graduated in 2007 from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Dr Agnini works in private practice in Modena and Sassuolo, Emilia Romagna, Italy, following his brother, Alessandro, focusing on Fixed Prosthetic Dentistry, Periodontology, and Implant Dentistry.

He attended the NYU College of Dentistry in the years 2009/2011 being as well the Clinical Research Fellow of the Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at NYU, under the supervision of Dr Sang Choon Cho.

Since 2011 he is a lecturer of the Dental Xp Website, being also part of the Editorial Board.

Author of the book “Digital Dental Revolution: The Learning Curve” and “ Digital Dental Revolution 2.0 - Clinical and Technical approaches in a modern clinical reality” edited by Quintessence Publishing in 2014 and 2022 respectively.

Doctor Alessandro Agnini graduated at Modena and Reggio Emilia University in 1989. He works at his offices in Modena and Sassuolo, strictly focusing on fixed prosthesis, periodontology and implantology disciplines. He’s an active member of IAO (Italian Academy of Osteointegration), IAED (Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry), DIRA (Digital Implant and Rehabilitation Academy), DDS (Digital Dental Academy) and (from 2006 to 2020) AIOP (Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry).

He’s also a founding member of SIPRO (Italian Association of Prosthodontics and Oral Rehabilitation).

He’s an author and co-author of many scientific publications on national and international journals, as well as a speaker at national and international congresses. Since 2011 he’s a relator for the website www.dentalxp.com, of which he is also an editorial board member.
